*Have you ever struggled with preschool or kindergarten lesson planning?* With limited time, busy schedules, and the exhaustion that comes with teaching, constantly brainstorming fresh and engaging lesson ideas can feel overwhelming.

To deal with this problem, I created a bundle of lesson posters that made lesson planning so much easier. *Poof!* No more endless brainstorming, no more last-minute stress — just simple, ready-to-use ideas whenever I needed them.

💗💗💗

Before designing these [posters](https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Lesson-Posters-Preschool-Kindergarten-BUNDLE-Thematic-Units-and-Activities-12750329?ref=thekinderwishlist.com), I knew that I wanted a teaching resource that was *colourful, age-appropriate, and easy to use.* So I thoughtfully inserted

- **cute and vibrant clipart** into each poster
- **simple captions**
- **creative questions**
- **real-life images** for children to see the real thing *(real animals, real people, real objects….)*.

Finally, after months of hard work (and many late nights..… 🐼), my collection has now grown to **21 themes and 682 pages** of lesson posters.

## How Can They Be Used?

It’s easy! Suppose you're focusing on the [**Zoo Animals**](https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Zoo-Animals-Posters-Preschool-Kindergarten-Lesson-Plan-Zoo-Activities-17153565?ref=thekinderwishlist.com) theme. You could put up Zoo Animal posters showing different zoo animals and simply start chatting with the children.

- “What can you see?”
- “What is this animal called?”
- “Have you ever seen one before?”

Zoo Animal Posters for Kids - A Fun Preschool and Kindergarten Teaching Resource

> And there you have it — a conversation going. Children are **curious learners** who benefit from **joyful and engaging learning experiences** (naeyc.org). With these posters, you are introducing to them **new vocabulary**, encouraging them to **observe**, getting them to **share** what they know, and giving them opportunities to **ask questions.** Each poster offers guided prompts for you to facilitate meaningful discussions with your children.

You could use them during lesson time, as part of a small-group activity, or paste them on your learning center walls, where children can look at it and talk about it during play.

## Teachers as Facilitators of Learning

My posters are also inspired by **Vygotsky's ideas about learning**. Children don't learn entirely on their own — the interactions they have with their teachers and other children can help to facilitate their learning.

Let’s imagine a conversation in your classroom. You might start with:

- **“What is this?”**

The child replies:

- “Dinosaur!”

Then you can build on it:

- **“Yes! It's a dinosaur. What do you notice about it?”**

The child replies:

- “It has sharp teeth!”

And eventually:

- **“Why do you think some dinosaurs had such sharp teeth?”**

Roar! Check out these dinosaur posters for preschool and kindergarten.

In my [Dinosaur posters](https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Dinosaur-Posters-Preschool-Kindergarten-Lesson-Plan-Dinosaur-Unit-Activities-16078188?ref=thekinderwishlist.com), for example, you’ll notice that I differentiate the herbivores and carnivores. This can be a talking point. Therefore, these posters give you something concrete to look at together, but **your questions and interactions are what bring it to life.**

## One Theme Can Turn Into So Many Activities!

This is probably my favourite thing about thematic teaching. You can use these posters as the foundation for every unit. They can activate your children’s schemas for future activities related to the theme.

Take a [**Farm Animals**](https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Farm-Animals-Posters-Preschool-Kindergarten-Activities-Lesson-Plan-13025126?ref=thekinderwishlist.com) theme.

You could:

🐄 Read a farm story
🐖 Make farm animal sounds
🐔 Sing “Old MacDonald”
🎨 Create farm animal art
🔢 Count toy animals
🧩 Sort animals
🎭 Set up farm dramatic play
💬 Talk about where food comes from

✨✨✨

Currently, this **HUGE bundle** includes:

> *Weather, Plants, Transportation, Community Helpers, Chinese New Year, Caring for the Earth, Farm Animals, Zoo Animals, Ocean Animals, Pets, Pumpkins, Dinosaurs, Butterflies, Bees, Ants, Grasshoppers, Friendship, Feelings and Emotions, Human Body Organs, My Five Senses, Dental Health*

✨✨✨

So if you're the kind of teacher who loves having resources ready to go when a new theme comes around, this collection can save you quite a bit of prep time. You can either print them out or display them on your digital device as a PDF slideshow.
